Police Chase Near Elementary School UPDATE 1:45 PM

Amarillo police arrested a suspect after a car chase and subsequent manhunt.

A passenger got out of a car and ran from police near the Toot N Totum at 17th and Eastern Street

The driver was still in the car, and a canine was dispatched to get the scent of the suspect for the search.

Streets near Sunrise Elementary School were blocked off

Police were at a home on Tennant street where the suspect was believed to be and was in police custody by 1:30 PM.

Police additionally add the man involved is wanted on a felony warrant.
