Police Chase Glock Switches

Amarillo Police are looking for an on-the-run suspect in the Eastridge area of town.

Police officials say they are following up on a report that a person was selling Glock switches.

A Glock switch is used to modify a semi-automatic to a fully automatic multiple-fire weapon.

After the police made contact with the man, he ran away, police say they chased him but lost sight of him.

The switches and ammunition were found in the area and were taken in as evidence.

 Police searched several streets in the area of Heather Street and Northeast 12th Avenue around noon on Tuesday and the case is ongoing.
