Palo Duro State Park Trails Closed

If you’re planning on going to Palo Duro Canyon State Park, you might want to listen up.

Park officials say due to muddy conditions and to preserve the integrity of the trail system they’ll be closed Tuesday and possibly Wednesday.

The 16-mile road loop is open, however, but they’re saying you have to use caution when visiting with low-profile vehicles and watch for rocks on the road.

Park officials the canyon rim received 2 point 04 inches of rain, while the canyon floor got 1 point 88 inches from the Monday night storm with further rain in the forecast.
