Over $200,000 of Meth Discovered After A Traffic Stop

The Texas Department of Public Safety seized more than $225,000 worth of methamphetamine after a traffic stop on March 29th.

A trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County for speeding and noticed an indication of possible criminal activity.

After a search took place, five bundles of a white crystalline substance weighing five-pounds were discovered, which later tested positive for methamphetamine.

The driver said he did not know anything about the drugs and had only owned the vehicle for about two months after purchasing it from his landlord.

He was booked into the Carson County Jail. Troopers believe the drugs were being transported from Arizona to Alabama.
