New Wind Project Coming The South The Panhandle

A new wind project is coming to the Plainview area.
Xcel Energy announced Wednesday that 239 new turbines will be building southeast of Plainview.
This new wind farm is meant to generate electricity for Texas and New Mexico and create 20 full-time jobs and 400 workers to building the turbines.
The project is to be completed in June.
