Man Sentenced for Witness Tampering

A man has been sentenced to 12 years in jail for witness tampering.

Alex Uvalle was found guilty of the charges on May 18th.

The case stems from an incident in March 2021, when he threatened his wife to get her to drop charges in an ongoing domestic violence case pending in the District Attorney’s Office.

Law enforcement officials helped the woman and alerted other law eto keep a look out for Uvalle. He already had warrants out for his arrests.

In addition, Uvalle was charged with possession of a firearmby a felon but was acquitted on that charge.
