Man Dies After Being Hit By Train

The Amarillo Police Department says one man has died after being hit by a train on April 1st.
Officers arrived at the BNSF tracks at Southeast 3rd and Grand Street behind the Santa Fe Depot at 1:42 am and found a southbound train had collided with a man walking near the tracks.
The man was identified as 27-year-old Colton Samuel Bagwell and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Amarillo Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating.
