Food Deserts are being addressed by two Amarillo organizations.

St. Anthony Legacy and Redevelopment Corp. and Square Mile Community Development are introducing READY Market to communities with limited access to healthy food options. 

A press release says a refurbished RV will cover many under-served Amarillo neighborhoods on set dates and locations to offer affordable produce and groceries, 

It goes on to say the mobile market will offer a range of fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and other groceries at affordable prices. The market will also accept SNAP payments.

Organizers say they will be offering a tour of the mobile market Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 4714 N.W. 4th St.
