Thanks to the Texas Legislature, seniors graduating this spring have to apply for federal or state financial aid.

This is especially important to students because they’re more likely to enroll in college when they become aware of the financial resources available tho them.

Friona students make up a large population that does not have access to Wi-Fi or computers and school officials want to make sure they have those resources to be successful whether they’re applying for FAFSA or not.

Canyon is working with students to create FSA ID’s and is meeting with families to make sure students have post-graduate opportunities

Amarillo ISD and River Road also have the free application for Federal Student Aid programs.

The deadline to apply is June 30th.
