Carson County Drug Seizure

A drug seizure in Carson County nets a big drug seizure.

The Texas Department of Public Safety seized more than 21 pounds of suspected cocaine after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper made a vehicle stop. 

DPS says on Saturday, Feb. 3, around 3 p.m., a DPS Trooper stopped a 2014 Dodge Ram traveling east on I-40 near Groom for a traffic violation.

They arrested 22-year-old Ryan Reyes, of Phoenix, Arizona, and booked him into the Randall County Jail for felony possession of a controlled substance.

A DPS press release says DPS Special Agents and Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agents were contacted, assisted with the investigation, and adopted the case.

The drugs were on their way from Phoenix Arizona to New York
