Buc-ee’s In Amarillo

Amarillo is one-step closer to becoming a home for a Buc-ee’s.

City of Amarillo officials say there are still some bugs to be worked out.

One of the bugs is the re-zoning, then the site plan can be approved and permits for full construction can be issued.

The agreement Buc-ee’s signed with the City of Amarillo states they have 15 months from the time construction starts to have everything ready to go for a certificate of occupancy to be issued.

The agreement also states Buc-ee’s has committed to creating 150 full-time jobs and $6 million in annual payroll, and the city is betting on a positive impact for the city.

Buc-ee’s will be located at I-40 East near Airport  Boulevard.
