BSA Hospital Recognized For Stroke Care

BSA Hospital has announced they have received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award for 2021.

BSA Vice President of Cardiovascular Services Matt Parker “This achievement shows our stroke team’s commitment to our patients receiving comprehensive care from the first sign of a stroke to the time they are discharged.”

To achieve this national recognition for stroke care, BSA met specific quality measures over 24 months.

BSA is also a Certified Primary Stroke Center and Amarillo’s only facility to offer the TransCarotid Artery Revascularization procedure, which stops strokes before they happen for patients with carotid artery disease.
