The Barrio Neighborhood Planning Committee and Xcel Energy are teaming up for a massive cleanup in and around the Tri-State Fairgrounds.
The two-day event will have Xcel employees picking up trash and cutting weeds around the property as part of the company’s Day of Service where employees give back to the community.
Over 20 employees will participate.
On Friday, the clean-up starts at 9am and goes until 1pm, and 9am to noon Saturday.
Volunteers should park closest to 10th and Grand and are asked to wear long pants and long sleeves and to bring bug spray and weed eaters.
BNPC will provide hand sanitizer, safety vests, trash bags, and plastic and leather gloves.
