August’s Girls Who Science Event at the DHDC

The Don Harrington Discovery Center will be getting ready for another edition of their Girls Who Science program with a special guest. 

Taking place on Monday, August 7th at 4:45 pm, this month’s edition will feature Amanda Morgan, a chemical engineer, and Senior Manager over the synthesis and formulation operations at the Pantex Plant.

Morgan was recognized by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce as a member of the 2022 Top 20 Under 40 and has received multiple Defense Program Awards of Excellence.

Each month, the Discovery Center will have this free-of-charge program set for young girls between the ages of 10-18 to provide a place for them to learn more about STEM, with a keynote speaker and fun activities that take place after each month’s presentation.
