AT&T Donates To Amarillo Area Foundation

AT&T has donated 80-thousand dollars to the Amarillo Area Foundation to support their Digital Navigator program.

They also gave 75 refurbished laptops. 

AT&T partnered with Human-I-T to give the laptops to Amarillo students as part of their nationwide commitment to help bridge the digital divide.

The 80-thousand dollars went to a program that provides digital literacy training to underserved communities including refugees, senior citizens, and low-income individuals.

According to the press release, is it estimated that more than 8,000 students, kindergarten through 12th grade in Amarillo ISD, do not have access to computers, the internet, or the tech skills they need to succeed.
