Amarillo Police Renovations

The Amarillo Police are going to start renovations on the Fourth and Fifth Floor of the department offices.

Amarillo City Council approved the renovations at their Tuesday meeting.

Renovations starting next month will let Amarillo Police evaluate real-time crimes, in the “Time Crime Center”.

The Center will allow police to better assess how a case should be handled regarding information before police can reach the crime scene.

Waiting space and rooms will be on the fourth floor.

Police and Council think the expanded renovations will allow for growth within the Department for training, and applicants coming in to apply for police and non-police jobs.

During the renovations, the department’s public services will remain open.
