Potter County GOP Chair To Run For District 87 Seat

Daniel L. Rogers, the Potter County GOP Chair, is in the running for the Texas House of Representatives District 87 seat.

Rogers made the announcement, Thursday morning.

Rogers says he’s running after numerous calls urging him to consider the possibility, and he sees the need for solid Conservatives untied to special interests in the Texas House of Representatives.

He says he’s committed to leading by example, growing the party, engaging voters, and advancing conservative ideas that benefit all.

Current Representative Four Price announced recently he will not seek reelection. Price was first elected in 2010 and his term comes to an end in January of 2025.

During Price’s time in office he helped to secure funding for the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine in Amarillo, and a new state hospital to be established here as well.

The District 87 seat is made up of Potter, Carson, Hansford, Hutchinson, Lipscomb, Moore, Ochiltree, and Sherman counties.
