A grand opening event for the new Multimodal Transfer Station located at 509 South Bowie Street is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 28 through Friday, March 1. Hours will be 1:00 p.m. to 5;00 p.m. each day.
Amarillo city officials say the project cost $8.6 million with 96% of that funding coming from federal grants.
ACT Director Chris Quigley says the new transit facility is due to the combined efforts of so many entities, primarily the Federal Transit Administration (FTA),”
The multimodal Transfer Station will serve Amarillo City Transit as well as interstate transit busses.
