Amarillo High School Threat

An extensive search at Amarillo High School, Monday led to the delay of dismissal.

At 1:15 p.m., Monday afternoon, officers were called to investigate Amarillo High School on a tip. Amarillo Independent School District put the school on lockdown.

Amarillo police as well as Randall County, conducted a search of the building and secured the school’s parking lots.

Nothing harmful turned up, and the school and parking lot were cleared.

Students were then allowed to leave.
