Tonya Winston Set to Run for Mayor in Upcoming Election

Voters won’t be short on options in the upcoming Amarillo mayoral election, and one of the choices will be Tonya Winston.
Known to some around the Amarillo area as “Lady Butterscotch”, Winston was the first to declare her candidacy for mayor back in January.
Along with addressing crime and safety issues as well as increasing small business growth, Winston says she wants to take the city in a new direction.
The period to file for candidacy ends February 17th at 5 pm, and the election is set for May 6th.
