Selling City Property

The Amarillo Local Government Corporation approved the recommendation for city council to move on a contract for a portion of downtown real estate.

The property in question is just a portion of 22-thousand square feet of retail and commercial space located on South Buchanan Street.

The city plans on selling to the property in question to Llano Group for $1.9 million.

Amarillo’s city council is expected to weigh-in on the topic at the start of September, with the next step being placing it before the council for consideration September 12.

Once and if approved the Llano Group could take over ownership by late January 2024.
