Private Pilot Ground School

If you’re looking for a career in the airline industry, you may want to look to Amarillo College, first.

A.C. is starting its first Private Pilot Ground School for people looking to become pilots this spring.

This class is set up to help students pass their private pilot written exam, which is a prerequisite to getting a private pilot certificate.

The class includes principles of flight, radio procedures, weather navigation, and F.A.A

Regulations.

The classes will be held on the College’s East Campus at the Harrington Aviation Center.

The goal for this aviation program in the next 3 to 4 years is to have a full-out flight school program at Rick Husband International Airport.

Private Pilot Grounds School officials say there’s a need in the Panhandle for more aviation classes and aviation courses rather than travel to Dallas.
