Panhandle PBS Continuing To Help With Summer Learning

Panhandle PBS and Maverick Boys and Girls Club in Amarillo has partnered together to help promote education during the last part of the summer.

The “By Kids, For Kids” effort will help keep kids learning and engaged before heading back to class with the help of 4 different shows.

Children attending Maverick Boys and Girls Club in Amarillo are now featured on four Panhandle PBS program introductions:

– Odd Squad, where agents use math and critical thinking skills to tackle their cases. (Weekdays at 4pm)

– Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum, featuring adventure and history with characters traveling back in time to meet important historical figures. (Weekdays at 8am)

– Molly of Denali featuring Alaska Native culture and the power of reading and using information sources to learn more about the world around us. (Weekdays at 3pm)

– Camp TV – a virtual day camp experience at home with head counselor Zach guiding viewers as they learn through play and explore various nature and cultural sites around
the country. (Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 10am; Maverick introductions coming soon)

These shows also fall under the STEAM Learning – science, technology, engineering, arts and math.
