No Bikes Or Skateboards On New Courthouse Property

Potter County Commissioners have approved a law prohibiting bicycles, skateboarding, or other similar wheeled vehicles that may cause property damage at the new County Courthouse.

They’re going to put up some signage out there; it’s going to prohibit skateboarding and bicycle rides and such on that building or around that building to hopefully curb any further damage.

Commissioners say it’s not the skateboards they’re against, but the jumps and grinds on the property that cause the damage, and point out scars to steps and benches at 11-thousand dollars worth of damage.

Once the signage goes up, if anyone is found on the premises riding a skateboard or bicycle, it can lead to an arrest.

The signage should be posted in the next few weeks around the Courthouse property.
