A suspect has been arrested in connection to an armed robbery.

The Amarillo Police Department was called to an armed robbery on Thursday at 8:59 a.m.

The robbery took place at a convenience store in the 4200 block of 34th Avenue.

A black male suspect was in the parking lot and put what is believed to be a handgun wrapped in a blue cloth to the head of a customer.

The suspect walked the customer into the store at gunpoint and demanded money from the register.

He then fled southbound into a neighborhood.

Authorities say he matches the same description of a suspect in the robbery on April 11th at the same location.
