McConnell: No States Have Yet Certified Presidential Election

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says no states have acted to certify the presidential election.

McConnell opened the Senate and said all legal ballots must be counted in a transparent manner.

He argued that President Trump has a right to weigh legal actions and request recounts.

McConnell noted that U.S. courts are available to hear concerns. Trump has not conceded the election and President-elect Joe Biden is moving forward on a transition.

Meantime, McConnell said there is no evidence that U.S. adversaries interfered in last week’s national elections.

McConnell condemned warnings from Democrats over the past four years, calling it hysteria.
