A man has been arrested in Clovis for last Tuesday’s burglary of the J.C. Penny store in Amarillo.

Twenty-five-year-old Junayd Howard also had multiple warrants out for him for similar mall burglaries in Clovis.

During the course of several mall burglaries in Clovis, The Police there increased their police patrols.

During the course of the Clovis investigation, they learned Amarillo police had arrested Howard on September 12th, under similar circumstances.

Further investigation by Clovis and Amarillo police linked Howard to selling jewelry since the first burglary in Clovis to pawn shops in Lubbock, Dallas, And Albuquerque, New Mexico.

They obtained a warrant for Howard’s arrest for six counts of commercial burglary, three counts of larceny over $20,000, six counts of criminal damage over $1,000, one count of attempted breaking and entering, and one count of criminal damage under $1,000.
