Astros Double Up Rangers
(Houston, TX) — George Springer went 3-for-5 with a home run to lead the Astros to a 4-2 win over the Rangers in Houston. Josh Reddick singled in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning to break a 2-all tie. He also robbed a home run at the fence. Wade Miley picked up his third win of the year, giving up two runs and striking out seven in six innings. Houston has won five-of-six and is 13-and-4 at home. Hunter Pence hit his third home run in as many days, a two-run shot in the fourth to put Texas ahead 2-1. Mike Minor fell to 3-and-3 after giving up three runs in five innings. Corpus Christi, TX – The Sod Poodles fell in extra innings 6-5 on Thursday night to the Corpus Christi Hooks at Whataburger Field.
