Clovis Man Shot

A 52-year-old man is suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.

At 1:06 a.m. Monday, Clovis police were called to the area of 800 Sheldon for a person who had been shot. That’s when they discovered the victim.

They determined that 36-year-old J.D Pringle and the victim, were in a verbal altercation that turned violent when Pringle pistol-whipped the victim before shooting him in the leg.

The suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Pringle reportedly left the scene. Anyone who has information on Pringle’s whereabouts should call Clovis police at 575-769-1921 or submit an anonymous tip through the Tips 411 program on the Clovis Police Department’s website.
