Civilian Response To Active Shooter Events Training At WT

West Texas A&M University Police Department will host free one-hour active shooter training sessions for WT students, faculty, and staff.

Civilian Response To Active Shooter Events Training is designed around the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy of responding to an active attack.

The course covers a brief history of active shooter events, civilian response options, and medical issues so your school, businesses, and community members can prepare for such an event.

The upcoming dates are April 11 at 11 a.m., April 18 at 1 p.m., and April 25 at 3 p.m.

The training will be in the UPD Classroom in the Old Student Union Building on the WT campus.

To RSVP, email the UPD at [email protected].
