Canyon Schools Proposition 4

The Canyon Independent School District is hoping voters approve Proposition 4 in the November ballot.

By approving the proposition, Canyon Schools will get 5.1 million dollars, and the district says approval of this tax rate will result in the lowest tax rate in 30 years. 

Proposition 4 on the ballot would increase the homestead tax exemption by raising it from $40,000 to $100,000.

Besides the 5. 1 million dollars the schools will get with the Prop approval, they will get 3.1 million in state funds and 2 million in local money.
