American Quarter Horse Association To Stay In Amarillo For 10 More Years

Thanks to a Partnership with the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation and the City of Amarillo the American Quarter Horse Association is staying in Amarillo.

The Location Incentive Agreement, which was approved by the Associate and partners will include a $3 million dollar overall incentive which will be paid over $300,000 per year for 10 years with Quarter Horse guaranteeing to meet $9 million annually in patrol.

The agreement was passed 5 to 0 by the Amarillo Council Members, Amarillo EDC Board Members and the Quarter Horse Association.

Members of the local community have also provided a donation package that has made this a public/private partnership for retaining AQHA for the future.
