Six women and seven men graduated from the Amarillo Police academy May 21st as the 96th class.
Mayor Ginger Nelson was the Keynote speaker and other City Council Members were in attendance. Sergeant Casey Ogden was very proud of this class and what they did to persevere.
The Class Officers were President Thomas Frock, Vice President Cory Throghorn, and Secretary Maci Luis. Thomas Frock felt a calling to serve, which led him to the academy and was also the top shooter of this class.
The next Academy is planned for December and you can go to amarillo.gov for more information on applying.
