Amarillo EDC Named Top Group

The Texas Economic Development Council has announced the recipients of their statewide 2022 Workforce Excellence Awards, including a winner in our area.

The Amarillo Economic Development Corporation was named the top group for organizations representing populations between 100,001 to 250,000.

They were recognized for the “Uncover Amarillo: Intern Experience” program which gathers college kids in order to meet other interns outside of their organization, explore different parts of the city and connect with Elevate Amarillo young leaders.

This is the second year in a row the group was given the honor, after their “Take Root In Amarillo” initiative received the distinction last year.
