Amarillo College Trespass Arrest

Thirty-three-year-old James Balentine is under arrest for criminal trespass with a deadly weapon for violating campus after-hours policy at Amarillo College Friday night.

Police were sent to the Washington Street campus at 10:35 p.m., on a burglary call and were told the suspect broke into the Parcell’s building and was last seen in the gym.

 The college has signs posted that say the building is closed after 5 p.m. and the doors are locked. 

Even though the man was spotted inside the gym, and in other buildings on camera before being located.

Balentine was taken to the Potter County Detention Center.and the case has been assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division.
