WTAMU PROF EARNS AWARD

West Texas A&M University announced that Dr. Mikyung Shin received an individual award for “exemplary work in preparing special education teachers,”
from school system chancellor, John Sharp.

Dr. Shin, assistant professor of education in WT’s Terry B. Rogers College of Education and Social Sciences, earned an individual award from the Chancellor’s Academy of Teacher Educators for the 2022-23 academic year.

Shin’s research interests include mathematics learning for students with learning disabilities, along with instructional technology and teacher preparation programs for special education.
