Woman Charged with Meth Possession In Stratford

A Minnesota woman is looking at federal charges after finding 87-thousand dollars worth of Methamphetamine in her car in Stratford.

Stratford Police Chief Richard Coburn initiated a traffic stop on Highway 54. Coburn says he smelled marijuana coming from the car.

Catherine Rose Linton was asked about the small and she said she had been with a friend who was smoking marijuana in the car.

She granted a search of the vehicle and Chief Coburn found a vape pen and five boxes containing 138 packages of Meth.

Street value is estimated at 87-thousand dollars. Linton was booked into the Randall County Jail for distribution and possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of the drug.
