Two Sleep Apnea Prevention Devices

There are two new weapons in the fight against sleep apnea.

MicrO2 and Silent Nite are being presented by Amarillo’s Advanced Dentistry to prevent snoring and disturbance during sleep.

Both devices are oral appliances that advance the lower jaw into a slightly forward position to help keep the tongue in the correct place and the airways open during sleep.

Sleep apnea occurs when the tongue and the soft palate obstruct the throat or airway causing a brief pause in breathing at night and causing the person to have to wake or move to clear that obstruction.
