TEA COMPLIANCE

The Texas Education Agency is making schools be compliant with new school safety regulations by September 1st.

The TEA website says the agency, along with the Texas School Safety Center is planning on a set of actions that will collectively improve safety at schools around the state.

.Some of the items the school districts will need to show compliance with include an exterior door safety audit, conducting a Summer Partial Safety Audit, and ensuring all threat assessment team members are trained.

In total, there are ten requirements that the Texas schools will have to meet.
