Sanctuary City For The Unborn Petition

The Amarillo city council is getting help in pushing an anti-abortion stance for the unborn.

The city council is considering passing a law to allow private citizens to sue people who are enabling travel to get an abortion.

A petition has been presented to the city.

City officials say it’s now a matter of following the process which includes 21 days to validate the petition, and making sure it lines up with the city charter and state laws.

Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn leader, Mark Lee Dickson, says the Potter and Randall County republican party offices saw a last-minute surge for signatures on the petition.
