Residents and Animal Rescue

Residents and animals are taking a top priority when it comes to rescuing in this flooding situation.

As of Tuesday morning, there has been a total of 327 residents and 98 animals rescued from the flooding with 73 residents and 18 animals staying at the Amarillo Civic Center.

The Civic Center has kennels, food and plenty of water and the Animal Management and Welfare and other locals are being commended for providing essentials to pet owners.

Yellow City Pet Supply has donated 250 pounds of pet food to the AAMW which then distributes to those in need.

The owner of Yellow City Pet Supply says the community is more than welcome to purchase dog food at Yellow City that will then be donated in their name to those in need.
