Race-A-Cop Hits the Amarillo Dragway

The Amarillo Police Department is hosting their Race-A-Cop event Saturday, July 23rd at the Amarillo Dragway.

The raceway is located at 12955 Burlington Road in Amarillo, and gates open at 7 pm with the races set to begin at 8 pm.

The department hopes the event will highlight a safe and inexpensive place for individuals to race that isn’t on city streets.

APD is also still offering free tickets to anyone who wants to participate by racing a cop.
