Playa Event Rescheduled Due To Recent Rainfall
The Panhandle Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists has rescheduled an upcoming event.
A Playa Field Day event is rescheduled for Tuesday, May 21st starting at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom at Abernathy City Hall, 811 Avenue D due to recent heavy rainfall.
The day will being with two presentations covering playa ecosystems, best management practices and playa restoration. After the presentations, there will be a guided field trip to a nearby property restored by the Texas Playa Conservation Initiative. Following lunch, Jim Steiert, outdoor writer and Master Naturalist from Hereford, will give brief summary remarks.
