Pampa New Solar Project

The Texas Public Utilities Commission is considering a filing by an Oregon company to build a large solar farm near Pampa.
In the filing, the Meitner Solar Project would generate 700 megawatts of power, about three times the amount generated by typical wind farms.
The solar project will also be connecting with the Cross Texas Transmission lines that take electricity downstate.
The Meitner Solar project is estimated to start commercial operation by the end of 2027.
