NASA’s Perseverance Will Land on Mars in Less Than 100 Days

Maybe one day, we’ll be able to answer David Bowie’s question: Is there life on Mars? NASA’s next rover, Perseverance, is going to try to find out.

Perseverance will be making its landing on the surface of Mars in less than 100 days. The land rover was launched on July 30th and is expected to make touchdown on February 18th.

Perseverance will be using its advanced instrument suite to search for traces of early life in the Jezero Crater.

Perseverance follows in the tire tracks of Curiosity, the rover that landed on Mars back in 2012.
