Hereford New Sports Complex

With most school districts in the Panhandle begging for money, Hereford passes a proposal for 6-point 5-million for a sports complex.

The new facility will have four artificial turfs for year-round use and will be funded by the city, the Hereford Economic Development, and the Hotel Occupancy Tax.

The project is being built as an enhancement to future generations in the areas of Kingwood and Park Street in the western part of town.

Construction started after a post-election meeting Monday and should be completed in four to six months.
