Friona Woman Dead After Car-Truck Crash

A Friona woman is dead following a Monday morning car crash in Parmer County.

Department of Public Safety says the wreck happened at County Road 17 and U.S. 60 when a tractor-trailer stopped at a stop sign.

A 2015 Chevrolet Cruze driven by 30-year-old Cinthya Guerrero of Friona was traveling west on US 60 on the inside lane.

The truck crossed into the eastbound lanes of U.S 60 and failed to yield the right of way into the Cruze’s path.

Guerrero was pronounced dead at the scene, and the crash is still under investigation.
