EOW Common Training Mistakes

If you’re into running or cycling, here are some mistakes you don’t want to make.

Not warming up hard enough. Spinning is not before the start of a cycling time trial will not activate and properly warm up the energy systems.

Completing your warm-up too long before you hit the start line.

Stretch long and hard before your race, running, or cycling. If not you may find yourself hurting, long before mid-race.

Starting out too hard can lead to a significant loss of time.

Work into your effort over the first few minutes, especially in a long-distance running race or cycling time trial. If you don’t you may never hit your goal pace.
