DPS Confiscates Drugs

The Texas Department of Public Safety has confiscated 65 pounds of Methamphetamine, and 10 pounds of Heroin, in a traffic stop near Conway.

The Carson County bust happened August 16th at 9:20 a.m. when a trooper stopped an Audi on I-40 East for a traffic violation.

A preliminary search by the DPS trooper found many plastic bags of Meth on the floor of the car, and heroin inside baggage in the back seat.

43-year-old Maicel Rondan has been arrested and booked into the Carson County jail on a  felony possession of a controlled substance charge.

DPS says the drugs were on the way from California to Oklahoma City.
