City Of Amarillo and AC Partner For Certified Food Manager Course

The City of Amarillo’s Environmental Health Department has announced a partnership with Amarillo College for a one-time ServSafe Certified Food Manager Course.

The course is scheduled for Feb. 12th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the AC Downtown Campus in the Bud Joyner Auditorium.

A total of 100 spots are available. Advance registration is preferred.

The course is offered at a reduced cost of $70 per person.

The course will promote food safety and provide education in the following areas: The importance of food safety; good personal hygiene; time and temperature control; preventing cross-contamination; cleaning and sanitizing; receiving and storing food; methods of thawing, cooking, cooling and reheating food; HACCP (Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Points) and food safety regulations.
